Chrysanthemum Cupcakes

I have been wanting to try doing this cupcake design every since I saw images of it on the web. It's a pretty simple design but if you are making a lot of cupcakes it could be tedious and time consuming.  But still these are just so pretty!

If you want to try this out on your own here's a simple guide on how to do this.  What you will need are your favorite cupcake together with your favorite icing, mini marshmallows and sprinkles.

Put some of the sprinkles on a plate.

Cut the mini marshmallows diagonally on the side.

Here's what it looks like cut.

Dip the cut side of the marshmallows on the sprinkles.

The sprinkles will stick to the marshmallows.

Here's another picture with the purple sprinkles. Make a lot of these in advance.

Get your cupcake and ice it with buttercream.  Just put the icing flat on top.

Get the marshmallow with sprinkles and stick it to the icing on the cupcake. Start on the outer edge of the cupcake working your way to the center.

Here's what it looks like with the outer edge already with marshmallows.

Just continue putting on the marshmallows towards the center. Try to alternate in between marshmallows from the outer layer.

Once you've reached the center, you are done!  :)

Pretty simple, right?!?
