A cake for a girl who likes pink and would love to have a pony for her birthday. This is another request from a friend to make a cake for her cousin who is turning 5.
Cake is chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream icing then covered and decorated with marshmallow fondant.
My first try in making a pony figure. Turned out pretty cute.

Sesame Street Cake
How time flies..... my godson celebrated his first birthday and his parents decided to take on the Sesame Street themed party. And of course, to go with the theme I made him a cake with Elmo as the topper as he is the main character for the themed party and then his mom requested for cupcakes to go with the cake. Photo above was taken at the party.
Cupcakes decorated with Elmo, Big Bird and Cookie Monster. It was a lot of fun to make, simple but a lot of work.
Elmo has marshmallow eyes with fondant pupil. Peanut M&M's color orange. Half of the Oreo cookie for the mouth. Piped with the grass tip to make the furry look of Elmo.
Big Bird has white M&M's for the eyes with black fondant pupil and piped with pink and blue buttercream for the lids. Beak is yellow fondant. Piped using the round tip for the feathers.
Cookie Monster has marshmallow eyes with black fondant pupil. Mouth is half Oreo cookie. Also piped using grass tip for the furry look.
For his main birthday cake I made the mocha cake filled and iced with mocha swiss meringue buttercream. Covered and decorated with fondant.
Elmo topper was made out of fondant and gumpaste. So was the letter S and number 1.
Pokemon
A Pokemon themed cake for 10 year old boy. This cake was requested by my officemate for her son's birthday. She gave me the liberty to choose what to make so I decided on this design. I created two figures, ever famous Pikachu and one of the first, Squirtle. I had so much fun making the figures out of a 50/50 combination of fondant and gumpaste.
And for the added decor, I made the Pokeball out of rice crispies covered with white chocolate and fondant for the detail.
Cake was chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling, iced with vanilla buttercream then covered and decorated with marshmallow fondant.
I hope Brandon enjoyed his cake.
